Why Do Men Begin To Lose Their Ability To Deal With Stress?

It is commonly believed that men are less capable of managing stress than women. Is this correct? Is it simply the euphoria of irrational activism in the name of women’s liberation that has tarnished the male community? Are doctors of the opinion that men are more prone to stress issues?

If that’s the case, why is that? Why is it that one is better at handling tension and the other easily loses control if both men and women are made of the same flesh, blood, and intellect?

Men make up the majority of patients with psychiatric problems such as depression, anxiety, and loneliness for the same cause. Along with a lack of control over composure, overconfidence contributes to a lack of stress management.

Is stress-related illness only seen in men?

No, saying that all females are experts in dealing with emergency situations and all men crack up is a simple partial judgement. It is a question of the vast majority of cases that arise. More than 60% of males over the age of 40 suffer from depression and anxiety, on average, within the total male population today.

But nowadays, even adolescents, especially those between the ages of 25 and 30, are becoming mental health patients. What does this reveal about ourselves? In order to make the planet more progressive by technological innovation, we had to pay a high price in terms of our wellbeing.

We can now speak to everyone in the world and even make video calls in under a minute, but we have no one to talk to. Face-to-face contact was once the standard, but it has since been replaced by Facebook. Males’ high levels of stress are attributed to a variety of factors, including family strain, being the family’s primary earner, and being the family’s head. However, the other groups, such as females and transgenders, have problems that are just as serious as men’s.

What do you think it’s like to be a woman in this world? Women have always faced sexism, regardless of where they live on the planet. Also today, there are men in high positions in developed countries such as the United States, the United Kingdom, and Russia who are reluctant or uncomfortable working under a female supervisor.

Girls are taught from an early age to look after their families and learn to cook. The boy, on the other hand, is free to go to school, hang out with his friends, and live life on his own terms. Women must endure harsh treatment from their families, relatives, and society in order to keep up with men.

Consider the life of any successful female entrepreneur or the CEO of a global corporation. She had to go through hardships that even men can’t fathom at first. There is still a male mentality that believes women are incapable of being leaders. The girls are a burden to them, and they are of no benefit to them.

A woman can still be a housewife, a CEO, a mother, and a daughter-in-law when performing all of these roles effectively. In the other hand, men just concentrate on one thing, and if they did, they would be competent engineers who were still immersed in their work. They also neglect their family lives by blaming it on the need for more jobs. Women, on the other hand, never complain, demonstrating that they have a much higher tolerance value than men.

When we equate the difficulties faced by men with those faced by transgenders, the problems that a transgender faces in their everyday life are incomparable. And in the twenty-first century, many developed and developing countries do not treat transgender people equally. They are scrutinised with eyes that are filled with shame, rejection, and even untouchability. Slowly but steadily, some countries have begun to make small concessions to transgender people in society.

It is now recognised that not only men are subjected to life’s challenges that result in poor mental health.

Is it possible for high levels of stress to cause serious harm?

One of the main causes of mental health deterioration is a lack of health awareness. If you ask a group of men what a healthy individual means to them, they will tell you. Most of them will respond that a man’s health is determined by his six-pack abs, long hair, and attractive face. Their wisdom has been tainted by incomprehensible movies and commercials.

As a result, when their doctor tells them to live a healthier lifestyle, they sign up for a gym membership. However, we must recognise that wellbeing encompasses both mental and physical abilities. He cannot be an example of a healthy person if his body is well-built but he suffers from depression or anxiety.

People who are constantly stressed make not just their own lives but also the lives of those around them worse. Their wife, children, parents, and coworkers all had to suffer as a result of them.

Nobody wants to live with someone who is constantly depressed. People seek a life partner who will listen to their concerns and assist them in resolving them. Not one who is still talking about his problems. Such men become frequent pill users; they need a pill to be satisfied, and they need a pill to have a proper bowel movement.
